Born 1938 in the same month as Johnny Paycheck and Raymond Carver, this D-18 has likewise seen and heard it all. It once belonged to Byron Berline, and in 2019 it survived a cataclysmic fire in his Double Stop Fiddle Shop in Oklahoma. Thank heavens for the fireproof safe. It’s been completely restored to its former glory by our luthier, and plays and sounds incredible. Dry and woody, strong fundamental, sky high headroom. Dang!
