1945 Martin D-28

$50,000.00

A taper braced bone! 1945 was a great year for the Martin D-28, and if you’ve ever played one you know why. The complex, powerful midrange cuts through a bluegrass jam like a knife, and the shimmering highs and woody lows make the perfect accompaniment to the voice. Everything you play on this thing comes out sounding like music, you know? Repair wise: it’s had a neck reset at some point, a few cracks repaired on the top behind the bridge, and there’s a plugged pickup hole on the lower bout side. The bridge plate, pickguard, and tuners are original, as is the finish - save for the area around the bridge (see photos). What a screamer!
