1946 Martin D-28 Herringbone

$40,000.00

S/N 96583 is absolutely one of the finest sounding 40's bones I have ever played. I chased this guitar a number of years ago and missed out on it, so I was stoked to recognize it when I opened the case here at the shop. This late herringbone has all the killer playwear you could ask for while maintaining 99% of its originality. The only replacement part is the bridge. This guitar has been well maintained including a recent neck reset and fret dress. It has 2 small repaired "cracks" although they are hairline and barely visible. One in the top (bottom right) and one in the back (bottom right). Tonally, this bone does everything you want it to and would make a fine addition to any collection or serious players arsenal.
