A spectacular sounding D-18 with rare provenance! We can usually only speculate where an old guitar has been based on past repairs and dings and scratches, but this one is a different story. It spent the majority of its life in the hands of its original owner, and comes with photos of him, the strap he used, and his original Martin registration card. Wild! The guitar is all original, save for the replacement bridge that was installed at the Martin factory in the 90s. The guitar’s sound is dry and airy, with strong fundamental tones and incredible headroom. It even comes with the original case!
